GreenX MENA is a regional youth-focused initiative in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) centered on climate action, water resilience, and environmental empowerment. It organizes events like the GreenX MENA 2025 Regional Youth Forum in Tunis, Tunisia, which brought together young changemakers aged 18-35 for workshops, policy drafting, and networking on themes such as the water-climate nexus and Sustainable Development Goals 6 and 13.

Key Organizers

It's organized by the Arab Youth Green Voices Network in partnership with Green Gate 4 MENA , a Tunisia-based platform founded in 2024 that connects MENA youth to environmental opportunities. The Dutch government and Heinrich Böll provided funding support for the 2025 forum.

Main Activities

  • Hosted a fully funded forum October 29-31, 2025, at Tunis Marriott Hotel, producing a Youth Action Roadmap and policy paper for submission to COP30, UN Water Conference, and World Water Forum.

  • Launched a Youth Innovation Challenge and hackathon for climate solutions, emphasizing authentic youth-led ideas.

  • Partners include MENA Youth Network, focusing on social justice, inclusive policymaking, and grassroots environmental strategies.
