Focal Point LCOY Tunisia 2024

In 2024, I served as the Focal Point and Organizer of Tunisia’s first-ever Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) under YOUNGO and the UNFCCC framework. I led the coordination, partnerships, and program development, ensuring a dynamic platform for Tunisian youth to engage in climate action. The conference brought together 100 young participants from across Tunisia, fostering diverse perspectives and regional representation. Through workshops, panel discussions, and policy dialogues, LCOY Tunisia empowered young leaders to shape climate recommendations and strengthen their role in global climate negotiations. Additionally, I oversaw the preparation of Tunisia’s Youth Statement for COP29, gathering inputs from diverse youth voices to ensure their priorities and solutions are reflected in international climate discussions.
